Went home after school because I left my PT attire at home when I had to go kallang for rowing.

Well anyway made it to Kallang, almost missed the stop due to dozing off... very shacked.

Then got the shock of my life... NUS had borrowed our S2s for the surf and sweat competition and there were 5 S2's blocking the opening of the cupboard. For those who don't know, Starlum 2s are these big fat 2 person canoes which weigh close to 50-70kg? Usually takes 2 people to move the damned things, but I had to clear these 5 from the locker opening, then put them back later. wtf?

I had moved 1-2 before in similar circumstances, but this was just ridiculous. Stood there, attempted a S2, then had a stupid thought. The pyramid's blocks are fricking heavy too, rite? But how'd those skinny buggers get so many stacked up so high? Ahh... levers and pulley dynamics. So I accessed the construction of the rack and made an impromptu lever system out of the spokes.

Heng. Brians and brawn bahbey! But it was still damn heavy anyway, wasted quite abit of chakra there.

Got down in the water, rowed abit, and felt my right middle knuckle scream in pain. Result of punching the wall last night. Good to see my force direction is still accurate. Form was just nice for the middle knuckle to be most prominent so that the area of penetration would be most concentrated for maximum contact force. But I lack the calluses and conditioning to withstand dealing... I'd say 2-3 maximum blows of that form.

Anyway it hurt like hell, but what to do, I didn't just move 5 S2s for nothing. So rowed until the pain got worse and eventually got sharp and wow, went away.

Arrived at the turn around at shears bridge, and the waves were pretty strong. That is like... the absolutely WORSE place to capsize, because if the undercurrent is moving outwards, you can get pulled out to who knows where. So I made my turn, 90 degrees...

Waves.. waves... critical angle!! low brace to try to maintain balance!! Another wave wtf?! Going down going down mayday! Wet!! Water!!! Then... Sky.

And it was so that the last batch of canoeists just left the 1k mark so I was left all alone in that dangerous spot.

Frantically started kicking to get back to shore... estimated... 250metres away... Blarrrghhh! Floated still in the water and watched where I was benig pushed... Heng. Was being pushed in instead of out. So pretty safe.

Reached the beach and bailed water... then went over and paced with Chinese High for a while. Some of them are pretty fast. Was about on par with the T1 leading the pack.

Ended with some short distance sprints, then during washup, met Anthony. He gave me alot of tips and info regarding the waters and strokes. Very insightful, I just made a notepad doc with the info so I don't forget. The strategy and logic concerning this sport is very deep. Anyway I went for a run after that, Sabu's nice he said I could leave my bag in his office next time I go running because he saw mw stuff my bag in the 1 dollar locker. Got a stitch during the run. And haha, first time I actually ran faster today until it got sharper and sharper slowly went away.

Getting in the mood for the race.

I must beat them... no matter how strong they are.
