So my hopes of going for a run last night, as well as training this morning and afternoon were uneventful thanks to a sudden injury.
I should start a log on ridiculous injuries, since training related injuries are so common, freak injuries are much more worth while to keep track off.
So here we go:
Was playing the piano in the piano room during piano ensemble meeting, then ai yun said "oh dear, there he goes shaking his leg again," And I noticed my leg tucked in behind under the seat, moving to the rythm. That was fine and all, but after I finished playing, felt a slight sensation in my left hip. Went to macs and ate fastfood for the first time in... a year? But it was nice anyway. Then as I walked to the MRT station, and home, the pain got more and more intense, until I had to sit down on a bench, try to stretch, tried to kick to snap whatever muscle which got knotted back into place to no avail. Until by the time I reached home I was limping, and then It hurt like hell whenever I walked.
Slightly better the next morning, but decided better not to go for training less I aggravate this into something serious.
So that's the first freak injury of 2004 - Hip sprain from playing piano.
Felt much better after a nap in the afternoon so I decided to risk it for a midnight run just now and... yes, its good as new. Sha-neroh!
Rowing tomorrow morning here I come!
On a side note, Shimona finished adding the vocals to Play That Melody which I uploaded to Pathos:
