New years celebrations over at darren's house.

Burnt the roof of my mouth on his mom's awesome mee siam.

Brought salad and shared a turkey with Yixue, Junwen and Dennis. Had to cut the veggies in the kitchen, where there was curious stares from ice, and darren's younger siblings haha O_O.

Hahahaha put some matt Kimchi in the salad. Lovely reactions. *grins*

Oh, the turkey was the best turkey that I've eaten in years.... wasn't over-roasted or over-cooked. Darren's dad helped to heat and add some black pepper to it too.

Sore throat started acting up so I walked home at about 2am. Only took me 15 minutes to get home... not bad.

And today the sore throat's worse. Argh bloody annoying.

Tomorrow's an important meeting. Probably the last that I'll go for, then they're on their own. I've come to the conclusion that I'm positive that they will fall down, and screw up once I leave.

BUT, I also know that they'll get up. And be stronger. They'll learn, and eventually the cycle will come full circle again. This I know because I trust them so much.

The next week's pretty uncertain...

Hopefully no fever or flu due to this sore throat... I'm already sneezing and its spread to the nasal passage. I don't want to go there for the first time and train with them being sick.

And hopefully the captain will let me go on thursday, so that I may see the team one last time during land training on tuesday.

So its going to be a new beginning... quite sad that you know that a part of your life is going to end, and that things will never be the same again.

But its time to move on. Been stagnant for too long. I've guided and encouraged, as I've promised myself to do just as Hong did for me. I know that I'll need to train with the new team now to expect more of myself, mentally and physically. After all, the reason why I joined a certain db team in year one was to see how far I could go. Now, that calling is leading me to another place.

But like Jo said, it should be exciting, and with the leaving of the old, comes the new.

nyp, all out.
