I hate mosquitoe bites! Especially recently. I think that the mosquitoes in my room have evolved some how... usually mosquitoe bites are a so small, and they itch a little... but these bites... they swell up to about 20cents or 1 dollar coin sizes by themselves - and they aren't that itchy. Haaaaaate! It gives me such pleasure to smack them when they are in mid flight, or even better when you just miss, but the nearby impace/shockwave kills them instantly/renders them into shock.
Sweet sweet revenge.
Canoeing training yesterday went pretty well. Alot of sweet girls... *grins*, and Samantha is very nice and friendly. Running was at a really slow pace. I have no idea how much we ran, because we went out of school, then over to Bishan Park and back through ajc then the mrt station. Monday's fartlek sets seemed to have a little effect on my running yesterday. Then the damn recovering sprained ankle got tight again, but I managed to loosen it up somehow halfway during the run. Yongqiang's running is pretty good, you can tell by the technique, then there's this other guy, Kenny. Not sure if he's new or not, but he's extremely tense... so tense that his shoulders come up like he's doing a perpetual shrug.
Pullups were okay... 4 sets of 12, managed to finish. I think all the canoeing guys pullups cannot make it... Yongqiang couldn't complete the sets, and Hong da wouldn't release all the way down after contractions. Then Kenny's pullups cannot make it at all.
And pushups... ugh... Samantha kept counting so insanely fast... none of the guys could keep up. I mean... 4 sets of 45 - you cannot still be going at a rate of 1.4 pushups/second by the second set.
4 sets of 60 crunches at otot was much more pleasureable.
After that we went to the weights room. The rest did weights will Samantha tutored Kenny and my stroke. Ech... It was more difficult doing air paddling then in the boat, as I don't have the feel yet, I couldn't gauge how low to go, etc. But Samantha was super patient and smiley. I must go and do some research on the punching part of the stroke later today.
Managed to do a 3 minute set with ... forgot his name.
Next training is on thursday... so I'm not sure which part to train with Stephen today.
I can't wait for Saturday's rowing - right now my list to excel past, in order of easist to hardest is:
Kenny
forgot his name
Hong Da
Yong Qiang
May change on thursday after further assessment and more guys turn up.
