Couldn't sleep last night again... too excited about today's training. Woke up at 7... showered, packed my clothes, put on sunblock, packed myoplex and chemical X and dashed out of the house.

Managed to grab a sausage mcmuffin with egg at macs before walking down to SDBA.

On the way I heard a pitter pattering, as if someone was jogging behind me... turning around I saw nothing... then looking down there was this HUGE dog following me and smiling at me. So happy and cute... but the sheer size of these things is scary when he's looking straight at you with that panting mouth. I sped up abit... to no avail. I felt like if I started to run the bugger would chase after me and bite me. Then... to my utmost horror, I thought I heard something and turned to see an even bigger dog in white messy fur doing the same on my left side. "This is MY breakfast! Mine!" I said to the dogs, but the persistent things just kept following.

A cyclist whistled in the distance, and the dogs barked and ran up to meet him... then the shocked runner behind the cyclist.

Whew, I thought. But the white dog returned later. I plucked out a chunk out of my muffin and laid it on the floor while I brisk walked away.

Went down in another type of t1 today. Much harder to balance than our blue and red boats. Fear- the force which jumps up and and pulls the newbie canoeist down to capsize into the water. I succumed to the bastard many times today. First was soon after launching at the beach. had to walk in mud which I sank knee deep into. I thought to myself "Is this quicksand?". Luckily Hongda and YongQiang were nearby and helped me do an H rescue. Then I capped again at the bridge on the way to the beach. More quicksand....

Patrick came... he always appears to almost mockingly smile at me every time I capsize. But that guy's nice and patient. Thank god. Worse thing I need is more pressure to stay balanced in the boat. I wanted to just go up and down the beach, so that if I capped I could tow and recover, which is just what Patrick told me to do, hoorah.

Had to learn more aspects about the stroke today. It's really not like dragonboating... pull too far back, and you create unbalance. Drop too far down to the side, and you create unbalance. Jerk too hard while paddling, and you create unbalance. Managed to get the hang of the boat through Jiaolian's corrections, but made the most progress during the end, when he gave me even more pointers and corrections. Yes... the proper canoeing stroke... is only the first half pull of our dragon boat stroke.

Met Qinyong in the waters on the way back. He was like "what the?!". Ahuahau

Capping is fun! You never know when a wave from a pleasurecraft or speedboat will come and rock you, you never know when a little wave is going to rock you just when you're trying to turn around. How fun and exciting.

I can't wait to go down again tomorrow.

Did 5 sets of 10 pullups after training. Then attempted to gobble down Myoplex and chemical X. Holy crap. Note to self to NEVER mix those two things together ever again. Chocolate milk and orange juice SUCKS. I almost threw the damn thing out at the bus stop, but managed to force everything down with sheer willpower. If I ever go on fear factor... I'll fail the eating challenges, hands down.

Took a bus to braddel road at 2 plus... then figured it was too late to go to church so I just went home.

Feel like taking a nap

Zzzzzzzzzzz.....
